The honorary degree of Doctor of Laws was bestowed by the Stonehill College, a Catholic college in Massachusetts, upon Dewey D. Stone, national Jewish leader. Two other honorary degrees were given by the college to Governrr Foster Furcolo of Massachusetts and Msgr. Francis J. Lally.editor of Pilot, official organ of the Catholic Church in Massachusetts.
