The administrator of St. Joseph’s Catholic hospital said today that the hospital’s kosher kitchen was turning out to be a boon both to the institution’s nuns and to its observant Jewish patients. About 10 percent of the hospital’s 350 beds are usually occupied by Jewish patients.

Sister St. Robert said the kosher facilities made the Jewish patients happy because of the assurance of kosher meals and it made the nuns happy because they knew that the patients were pleased.
