A letter to Secretary of State James F.Byrnes, demanding that the ex-Mufti of Jerusalem be branded as a war criminal and tried before the Nuremberg war crimes court, was made public today by Rep. Emanuel Celler of New York. Celler charged in his letter that the Mufti spread Nazi propaganda in the Middle East.

Sen. Ralph Brewster of Mains, testifying yesterday before the Senate Defense Investigating Committee, demanded that Great Britain be barred from using American land lease guns to “shoot down Jews in Palestine.”
