A census of the Jewish population in Ukrainia is to be taken, according to a decree issued by the Zik, the Ukrainian Central Executive Committee, for the purpose of determining the number of Jews who desire to settle on the land.
The census is to be taken under the supervision of special commissions which will be formed by the Regional Executive Committees.
After the data is collected and the required amount of land ascertained, the Council of National Minorities will intercede with the respective governmental authorities to make the necessary land allotments. It is expected that the applicants will commence actual work on the land during the coming spring.
