Jewish Centers, Y. M. H. A.’s and Y. W. H. A.’s throughout the country will join in patriotic celebrations of Columbus Day.
The plays played directly and indirectly by Jewish contemporaries of Columbus in the discovery of the New World will be one of the themes of the mass and club programs in which thousands of young people and adults are expected to participate.
In addition to appropriate addresses and discussions, the programs will include the presentation of tableaux plays, pageants, the showing of motion pictures and slides on American history, mass singing and the rendering of patriotic musical selections.
