The role of Jews in American history will be stressed in Lincoln and Washington Birthday celebrations by Jewish community centers and Y. M. – Y. W. H. A. clubs throughout the country, it was announced yesterday by the Jewish Welfare Board, national organization with which the centers are associated.
A publication containing selections and quotations for presentation by its constituent groups on the two days has been made available by the Welfare Board. The publication also contains suitable program material.
Salient facts concerning the relationships of Washington and Lincoln to the Jews of their respective periods are also given.
