Full recognition of the state of Israel by the United States along with “economic” support and help to defend itself against aggression” was asked by the Central Conference of American Rabbis in a resolution adopted at the concluding session of its 59th annual conference here this week-end.
The resolution also asked the U.N. “to takes all possible measures to safeguard the new republic’s existence within the boundaries defined to the U.N. resolution of November 29, 1947.” Dr. Abraham J. Feldman, of Hartford, Conn., was re-elected to a second term as president of the Conference.
