The Central Conference of American Rabbis opened its thirty-fifth Convention this morning. Rabbis from all parts of the country as well as from Canada are attending.
Professor David Neumark lectured on Judaism and kant’s philosophy on the occasion of Kant’s centenary. He also read papers on the centenaries of Steinthal and Lazarus.
The Conference discussed the question of forming a national organization for the purpose of placing a Rabbi on every University Campus to care for Jewish students. The Conference will postpone action in the matter until next January when the Union of American Hebrew Congregations will discuss the matter at their convention at St. Louis.
