Ceremonies marking the dissolution of the American League for a Free Palestine and the Hebrew Committee for National Liberation were ##d today at the Hotel Waldorf-Astoria. Guy Gillette, honorary president of the ague, told the gathering that full recognition of Israel by the United States is a ### phase in the history of the Jewish state, “making it proper to terminate the functions of the League.”
The meeting, which vas also addressed by Elliott Roosevelt, Will Rogers Jr., ##ntin Beynelds and others, sent a message of congratulations to Peter Bergson and Manuel Merlin, former leaders of the Hebrew Committee for National Liberation, on their election on the Heruth ticket to the Israeli Constituent Assembly.
