Ceremony Marks Presentation of Shulman Paintings to Bezalel

Mrs. Rebecca Shulman, national chairman of Hadassah, presented a collection of contemporary paintings to the Bezalel Museum here at an impressive ceremony at which Minister of Education BenZion Dinur announced that construction of a special building to house the Bezalel Museum’s modern collection would soon be started.

United States Ambassador Edward B. Lawson and Israel Ambassador to the United States Abba S. Eban also addressed the group. They praised the Herbert Shulman collection and stressed the fact that the presentation helped to strengthen the cultural ties between the United States and Israel.
