Reports current here to the effect that the Palestine government was ready to issue registration certificates for Polish wives of men living in the Holy Land has aroused favorable comment in the Warsaw Jewish press, which hailed the generosity of the Palestine government.
The Jewish Telegraphic Agency was, however, informed by the Warsaw Palestine office that the reports were incorrect and that the order issued by the Palestine government would effect a few dozen individuals at most.
The reports had aroused the hopes of hundreds of Polish Jewish women, whose husbands had emigrated to Palestine, that now they would be allowed to settle in the Holy Land.
