Alfred Maleta, chairman of the Austrian Parliament, announced here that he has accepted an invitation from Kadish Luz, speaker of Israel’s Parliament, to attend the inauguration ceremonies to be held in Jerusalem on August 30, dedicating Israel’s new Knesset (Parliament) building.
Mr. Maleta, who was imprisoned by the Nazis in a concentration camp for a number of years, due to his vigorous opposition to the Nazi campaign against Jews, has been an outstanding fighter against neo-Nazism and anti-Semitism in Austria throughout his career in parliament.
