An order to close the “Doar Ha’yom,” Hebrew opposition daily which was raided Thursday night at midnight by the police, was issued yesterday by the High Commissioner, Sir John Chancellor. The editors of the paper yesterday asked the Zionist Executive here to intervene with the High Commissioner against the order.
Other Hebrew papers in Palestine which differ radically from the policy of the “Doar Ha’yom,” expressed indignation over the order to suppress the paper.
