The change of name of the Anglo-Palestine Bank to Bank Haleumi L’ Israel–Israel National Bank–was registered today in the District Court here, with an official statement that as of January 19 the Israel National Bank had taken over from the Anglo-Palestine Bank all shares, except for 5,976 ordinary shares and 8,345 preferred shares. The capital of the National Bank is now 3,000,000 Israeli pounds divided into three categories of shares.
