The Roumanian Government indirectly financed the student disturbances at the universities which occurred during the Bratianu regime, was the charge made in Parliament by Professor Nicolai Yorga, newly elected Dean of the Bucharest University. The new Dean guaranteed that quiet will now prevail at the universities.

Urging that the government should take more care of the material needs of the students, Professor Yorga declared that government provocateurs exploited the poverty of the students for their purposes. The starving students were paid by the provocateurs so that actually the former government financed the student disturbances, he said.
