Former Judge Joseph M. Proskauer was named president of the Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies for the fourth time. When at yesterday’s meeting at Federation headquarters the Board of Trustees elected him again.
Felix M. Warburg was re-elected chairman of the board; Arthur Lehman associate chairman; Mrs. Sidney C. Borg, Paul Felix Warburg, Albert Goldman and Samuel D. Leiderdorf, vice presidents; Walter E. Beer, treasurer; Louis J. Grumbach, associate treasurer; Albert J. Erdmann, comptroller; Herman Lissner, secretary, and Solomon Lowenstein, executive director.
Since its formation in 1917, the Federation has disbursed to its ninety-one affiliated institutions almost $135,000,000, of which the Federation’s own contribution was about $65,000,000.
