The Women’s Division of the Brooklyn Federation of Jewish Charities yesterday afternoon held three rallies in different sections of the borough in preparation for the roll call to be conducted from May 21 to May 31, inclusive, in support of the Federation’s $500,000 twenty-fifth anniversary campaign.
Mrs. Nathan L. Goldstein is general chairman of the roll call effort.
The following rallies were held:
Women’s Auxiliary, Beth Moses Hospital, Mrs. Harry Schlein, president and district chairman; Supreme Court Justice Mitchell May, president of the Federation, speaker; auditorium of the hospital.
Women’s Auxiliary, Jewish Hospital of Brooklyn, Mrs. William Linder, president; Mrs. Nathan Strauss, roll call chairman; County Judge Algeron I, Nova, chairman of the Federation campaign, speaker; Leon Louria Memorial Building, 478 St. Mark’s avenue.
Women’s Auxiliary, Brooklyn Hebrew Orphan Asylum, Mrs. Meier Steinbrink, president; Mrs. Julian Newman, roll call chairman; Dr. Joseph J. Schwartz, executive director of the Federation, speaker; Eighth Avenue Temple House, Eighth avenue and Garfield Place.
