An energetic canvass is under way here for funds for the United Jewish Appeal. The campaign, which began November 18, is headed by I. Blank, chairman, and Rabbis Benjamin G. Axelman and Jacob S. Raisin and Joseph Goldman, vice-chairmen; M. H. Nathan, treasurer, and M. Klein, secretary.
A considerable part of the local quota was subscribed at the opening meeting, which Rabbi Raisin addressed.
