The city of Chattanooga, is making plans to pay tribute June 30 to July 2 to Adolph Simon Ochs, publisher of the “New York Times”, celebrating his fiftieth anniversary as owner and publisher of the “Chattanooga Times.”
City and county proclamations call upon citizens of the entire community to participate in honoring the publisher.
Mr. Ochs will arrive in Chattanooga on June 29 from New York. The key to the city will be presented to Mr. Ochs on Monday evening July 2.
Temple Emanuel of New York will be represented at the celebration by Ludwig Vogelstein, vice chairman of the board of trustees, and Rabbi Nathan Krass.
