The French government has conferred the ribbon of Chevalier Legion D’Honneur on Baron Pierre Benjamin Gunzburg.
Baron Pierre Gunzburg is a son of Baron Hrace Gunzburg, the Russion philanthropist, who died at Petrograd in 1909. He is a son-in-law of M.Emile Deutsch de la Meurthe, the French Jewish philanthropist, who died a few weeks ago, leaving besides many public benefactions, a large sum for Baron Gunzburg. Baron Gunzburg has recently begun to take part in Jewish affairs.
