Prophesying that Jewish Day at this year’s Century of Progress will almost be as great as last year, when all records for the great exposition were broken by a crowd of 125,000, I. B. Ury, Chairman of the Jewish Day Committee, announced today that negotiations had been opened to bring to Chicago a number of famous Jewish persons from all parts of the world.
Ury set July 29 as the date of this year’s Jewish Day and said that a spectacle equal or better than “The Romance of a People,” which was presented last year, will be given.
On June 4, three delegates from each of one thousand Jewish organizations in this area will meet in the Morrison Hotel to make final plans for the day. An as yet unnamed delegate from New York will address the convention together with members of the Jewish Day Committee.
