The campaign being conducted by the Chicago Federation of Congregations to raise $25,000 to enable the Chicago Committee for the Defense of Human Rights Against Nazism to carry on an intensive boycott drive against German-made goods is well under way, according to Murray B. Louer, general chairman.
The Chicago Federation of Congregations endorsed the work of the boycott committee and went on record as being heartily in accord with the movement to strike at Nazi Germany through economic channels, and voted to ask all member congregations to aid in the raising of funds.
“I feel that more than ever now all the Jewish groups of this city and nation must band together and join in this herculean struggle against the inroads of Nazism both in Germany and in our own country,” Mr. Louer declared.
