The Board of Jewish Education of Chicago will give a farewell dinner December 23 in honor of Dr. Alexander M. Dushkin prior to his departure for Palestine, where he will assume the post of professor of education in the newly created department of education at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
A large attendance, composed of directors of organizations and schools connected with the Board of Jewish Education, friends of Dr. Dushkin and prominent Chicago Jews, is expected at the Standard Club, where the dinner will be given. An appraisal of Dr. Dushkin’s achievements in the field of Jewish education will be made by the speakers. Dr. Dushkin has completed eleven years’ service as executive director of the Board of Jewish Education.
