A $100,000 gift was presented today by Philip A. Shapiro, Chicago alderman, and Mrs. Shapiro, to the Jewish Theological Seminary of America for the establishment of a lectureship in Jewish laws at the seminary located in New York City. The gift, income-producing real estate in Chicago, was accepted by Martin Grabois, comptroller of the seminary.
