A mass meeting sponsored by the Chicago Committee for the Defense of Human Rights Against Naziism, will be held here this Sunday at the huge Chicago Stadium. Speakers at the meeting will include Rabbi Abba Hillel Silver, Dr. John Haynes Holmes, Col. Raymond Robbins and local leaders.
The committee, organized through the efforts of Salmon O. Levinson, famous world peace advocate, includes a number of leading citizens of this city. Paul Hutchinson, editor of the Christian Advocate, is president of the group, Mr. Levinson, chairman, and Professor James N. Yard, secretary.
Among the Chicagoans who will speak at the meeting are Mr. Levinson, Mr. Hutchinson, Rev. Preston Bradley, Gen. George V. Clinnlin, James Mullenback, federal arbitrator and mediator for the NRA in the Chicago district; Rev. C. C. Morrison and Dr. John A. Lapp, noted Catholic sociologist.
Martin Plettl, German labor leader now a refugee from his native land, ###s expected to arrive in Chicago in time to address the meeting.
