Samuel A. Goldsmith, executive director of the Jewish Federation of Chicago and of the Jewish Welfare Fund of Chicago was honored here last night by being named a “Citizen Fellow” of the Institute of Medicine of Chicago, at the annual meeting of the Institute.
Mr. Goldsmith was elected to this honor by the unanimous vote of the board of governors of the Institute “for his material contribution to the welfare of the community in the fields of public health and social service.” He is chairman of the Mayor’s advisory committee of the Board of Health.
