The local council of Orthodox rabbis has ordered the suspension of six officers of the Chicago shochtim union at a meeting last night. An appeal was also issued to Chicago. Orthodox Jewry to abide by the decision of the rabbis and obey the ban on poultry, issued by the rabbis last week, until the shochtim will agree to recognize the regulations set up by the rabbis in their war on racketeering in the kosher poultry industry in Chicago.
The six officers of the shochtim union whose suspension has been ordered by the rabbis are: S. L. Zevion, president; J. M. Glicksburg, vice-president; D. Segel, J. Karsh, S. Zaretsky and M. Saldich, members of the Executive Board.
