A Rosh Hashanah broadcast by Chief Rabbi Hertz of England to the Jews of North America will be delivered on September 21st, oven the B.B.C. program “Britain Speaks to North Americans,” it was announced today.
Supplementing the broadcast the Chief Rabbi issued a pastoral letter to his “Brethren overseas.” In it he calls for a religious rededication in all the Jewish communities of the Americas. A call has also been issued to all the communities of Britain and the Empire to join in a “week of rededication” between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.
