Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi Isser Untermann told a news conference here yesterday that the Jews would never be removed from the Old City and that anyone who thought the sector could be taken from the Jews by force was mistaken. He also rejected a recent United Nations Security Council resolution warning Israel against annexation of Old Jerusalem. He said Israel could not trust “international guarantees” for the area, “only in our possession” of it.
