Child mortality among Jews in Tunis decreased considerably last year due to the expansion of activities of the OSE, Jewish health organization, it was reported here today by the American OSE Committee.
The report is based on a letter by the director of the Government Statistical Bureau in Tunis. The letter also stated that a survey conducted by the Tunis municipality established that “the decrease in child mortality among Jews in the city was due exclusively to the medical and child-care activities of the OSE.”
