A German children’s choir sang five modern Hebrew songs tonight in its first radio appearance in the United States. The choir, trained by the North German Radio Network in Hamburg and the only non-Jewish children’s group with a repertoire of Jewish songs, was heard over station WOXR on a program called “Music from Germany.” The Israeli songs included examples of both liturgic and secular music.
