China’s president told a visiting delegation of Israeli and political leaders that relations between the two countries are “strong and friendly.” Jiang Zemin said he was studying the Old Testament to learn about the “wisdom and unity” of the Jewish people, adding that he dreams about “coming to Israel and being a guest on a kibbutz.”
