Chinese President Jiang Zemin voiced support for the establishment of a Palestinian state. His comment came during a one-day visit to the Palestinian self-rule areas. When he returned to Israel, Jiang visited the Western Wall as well as Christian and Islamic holy sites in Jerusalem.
