The cholera scare here appears to be subsiding, with no Jewish cases reported for the past 12 days and no Arab cases for the past four days. The number of hospitalized acute cases is down to three. The Health Ministry is not yet claiming, however, that the cholera has been eradicated, Medical circles said today that it was “a treacherous disease” that “may disappear for months and then turn up again.” But they added that “We do hope we have brought it under control.”
