The Rev. Pat Robertson is urging Christians to fast and pray on Yom Kippur for the well-being of U.S. troops in Saudi Arabia.
Robertson made the plea Tuesday on his syndicated television program “The 700 Club.” The conservative Christian leader not only warned about a possible Iraqi attack against Israel, but of a possible Soviet strike on the Jewish state should its economy collapse totally.
Robertson, who spoke of dire circumstances facing the world today, also expressed concern about any pressure the Iraqi crisis would place on Israel to withdraw from East Jerusalem, which it annexed in 1967.
