Steps to abolish a “ghetto” market in the town of Kalisz, established some time ago, were taken today by a group of Christian saddlers and cabinet makers. The Christians asked the Jewish merchants to permit them to put up their stalls alongside the Jewish stalls because the “Aryan” market was not being frequented by customers. The “ghetto” market had been enforced by Endeks (National Democrats) against the decision of the municipality.

Several Jews were wounded in street attacks in the town of Otynia. Among those injured was Zalman Bronstein, 75.
