“May Day” took on a new significance this evening when a swelling male choir of 185 voices-each one recruited from the ranks of the workers in the plants of Chrysler Motors-appeared in Orchestra Hall in their initial concert of the year. A portion of the concert was broadcast over a national network of 185 Columbia stations and carried to the far corners of the world via short wave broadcast.
