What is believed to be the first joint declaration of all American Christendom on a subject of world interest has been made in denunciation of the atrocities perpetrated on the Jews in Germany. The statement labels all totalitarianism communist and fascist – as incompatible with Christianity and calls on all Christians to pray at this christmastide for peace and GOOD-WILL. The protest was signed by the most. Rev. Edwaf Mooney, chairman of the Administrative Board of the National catholic welfare conference; the Rev. George Butterick, president of the federal council of churches representing twenty-four Protestant denominations; the Right Rev. henry St. George tucker, presiding bishop of the Protestant Episcopal church, and officials of the southern Baptist convention and the Presbyterian church in the United States.
