Opposition to the naval construction bill was voiced by the Rev. Dr. William I. Hull of Swathmore, Pennsylvania, a Quaker at a session of the House Naval Affairs Committee, Dr. Hull who was a member of a delegation which appeared before the Communities yesterday, declared that the delegation, which also included Dr. Arthur J. Brown of New York, secretary of the Presbyterian Board of Foreign Missions, and Linley V. Gordon of New York, secretary of the Church Peace Union, represented the Protestant, Jewish and Catholic faiths.
Rabbi Stephen S. Wise and the Rev. John A. Ryan of the National Catholic Welfare Conference were to have been members of the delegation, but they were unavoidably delayed, it was declared.
