Churches closed throughout Israel to protest plans to build a mosque near a Christian holy site in Nazareth. By closing the churches for two days, the protesters hope to draw attention to what they say are growing threats to their shrines. On Tuesday, Arabs plan to lay a cornerstone for the mosque in a plot of land neighboring the Basilica of the Annunciation.
