Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill was honored here this week-end by the Israel Institute of Technology at Haifa at a dinner where a testimonial scroll was accepted in his behalf by his daughter, Miss Sarah Churchill. The Prime Minister has agreed that the central auditorium of the Institute should bear his name to mark his 80th birthday last November.
In accepting the scroll, the Prime Minister’s daughter said: “Never did so young a state have so old and fine a heritage as Israel. No other country at its birth had the wisdom, traditions and fortitude of an ancient race. These are priceless everlasting assets. With them it can never fail.”
