The City of Tel Aviv celebrated its 40th birthday during the week-en and the 90th birthday of its founder and first mayor, the late Meir Dizengoff.
A moment carved out of Jerusalem stone was unvalued in Dizengoff Square, opposite the Municipal Museum. Engraved on one side are panels showing three phases of the city’s development. On the other are the names of the 64 founders of the city. Fourteen of the founders are still living.
