Civil rights leader Jesse Jackson on Monday urged Israel and the Palestinians to end their violent conflict. Meeting with Palestinian Authority President Yasser Arafat on the second day of a five-day Mideast visit, Jackson said he urged Arafat to “lead the way to end the bombing,” the Israeli daily Ha’aretz said.
