Five American clergymen including a rabbi, named by President Nixon to represent the US at the funeral of the Greek Orthodox Patriarch Athenagoras in Istanbul, cancelled their trip today when the Turkish government refused to issue a visa to the leader of the delegation, Archbishop Iakovos, Primate of the Greek Orthodox Church in North and South America. Rabbi Marc H. Tanenbaum, director of Interreligious Affairs of the American Jewish Committee was the Jewish member of the delegation.
