The trustees of the Jewish Welfare Federation here have approved the reorganization of the Welfare Fund Committee, it was announced today by Henry L. Zucker, executive director of the Federation.
In addition to conducting the annual Jewish Welfare Fund Appeal, the Committee will now serve as the Federation’s social planning arm in reference to national agencies and will deal with miscellaneous appeals in the community. The Committee, which is to consist of representatives of each of the divisions of the campaign organization, Federation officers, campaign members, and 10 members selected by the community at large, will develop programs aimed at promoting all-year-round continuity in campaign efforts and to assist in the collection of campaign pledges.
