The twenty-fifth anniversary of Rabbi Abba Hillel Silver’s ministry in The Temple here will be celebrated by the congregation, it was announced today by the Temple’s Board of Trustees. The celebration has been delayed a few months in order that it might coincide with Dr. Silver’s fiftieth birthday which will be on January 28, the announcement said.
At Rabbi Silver’s request, because of the war situation, the celebration will be limited to an anniversary religious serviee on Sunday morning, January 24, and to a children’s service on Saturday morning, January 23. Repre- sentatives of the community, and of the important national and international causes with which Rabbi Silver has been actively identified during his quarter of a century in Cleveland, will participate in the Sunday morning service.
