Cleveland Zionists will hold a Balfour memorial meeting tomorrow at the Euclid Avenue Temple’s auditorium. The speakers will be United States Senator Fess, the British consul, Major H. F. Chisholm, Rabbi Barnet R. Brickner, Rabbi Harry Davidowitz, Dr. Charles F. Thwing, president emeritus of Western Reserve University and the Rev. Dr. Charles Deboro. Isaac Carmel, acting president of the Cleveland Zionist District, will preside.
Special memorial services for Lord Balfour with an impressive talk by Rabbi N. H. Ebin were held last Saturday in the Congregation Sons of Israel of Bensonhurst.
The synagogue was unusually crowded, as if it were the high holidays. Many wept listening to Rabbi Ebin’s speech.
