The A. F. Horwitz Memorial Foundation has been established in memory of the late founder and head of the National Clothing Company for the benefit of the boys of the Jewish Children’s Home of Rochester.
Through the foundation, all the boys at the Children’s Home will be furnished with clothing and shoes at all times in the future. Last week all the boys, ranging in age from 3 to 17 years, were taken to the National Clothing Company store and provided with new suits, hats, shirts, ties, and shoes for the Passover.
The Foundation was established by Jess Horwitz, president of the National Clothing Company, a son of the man whose memory the gift perpetuates. Besides this gift, the Jewish Children’s Home was bequeathed $2,500 by the late A. F. Horwitz who died in New York City on October 25, 1932.
