Club of Jewish Deputies Defers Action in Election of New President

The general meeting of the Club of Jewish Deputies in the Polish Sejm was held here under the chairmanship of Deputy H. Farbstein, vice-president of the Club.

The meeting, which was called for the election of a new president, following the resignation of Dr. Leon Reich, took no action in view of the necessity which arose for the various groups to reconsider the matter. The meeting was postponed for a later date.

It is predicted that in view of Dr. Reich’s resignation, Deputy Gruenbaum will return to the Club.

Deputy Isaac Schipper, who announced his withdrawal from the Club, joined again in accordance with a resolution adopted by the Zionist Party Council. Deputies Reich and Rozmarin, who withdrew from the Club, joined again in accordance with a resolution adopted by the Zionist Party Council. Deputies Reich and Rozmarin, who with drew from the Zionist Party Council, refused to return to membership in the Council. They did not participate in the conference of the Zionist parliamentary faction.
