Palestine coast guards today captured a small ship allegedly attempting to smuggle 270 European Jews into the Holy Land. The ship flew the Rumanian flag and was called the Sanotu. It was badly overcrowded and had no accommodations for the large crowd of refugees, who came from various European countries. The crew and passengers were placed under arrest and the ship was confiscated.
